In 1986 baby Jessica was trapped in a well for 56 hours. Because of the over abundance of media, the unceasing coverage and the scramble to create a Hero via book deals and media spots, the community of Midland Texas was torn in the midst of the upheaval. I use devices of duration and repetition and the “real-life” time measurement of toast making and eating to alter how to represent levels of perceived time.
